Rose Harper and the rest of the staff at Strawberry’s Happy Jack Realty urge all Rim Country residents to do what they can to help support their friends and neighbors by shopping locally — not only during this holiday season, but throughout the year.
When Rose Harper of Strawberry’s Happy Jack Realty, first moved to the Rim Country more than 20 years ago, she said she felt very disappointed.
That lasted just a couple of days though, and then she realized she was “home.”
“Those of us who live and work in the Rim Country are so happy to be here we have the desire to help each other. One way we do that is to shop locally.
“For instance, I even pump my gas tank full before leaving for Phoenix.
“If you’ll just take time to look around, you’ll find many items you didn’t realize were available here. Join us, be loyal, buy local,” Harper said.
Harper and the people working with her — Gary Rains, Brenda Stillman, Linda O’Kelly and Barbara Lauerman — are dedicated to honest and ethical transactions. They handle properties from Deer Creek to Clear Creek, covering 50 miles up and down Highway 87.
Harper impresses upon her clients the sense of community that makes the Rim Country special.
“Neighbors care about neighbors. They will take care of one another, take care of your animals, patronize your business,” she said.
She said she and her co-workers really have fun with real estate.
“We’re working through (this tough time), waiting for it to come back and it will come back,” Harper said.
Rose Harper has been at her same business location for more than 20 years, though the name has changed, much is still the same — “Rosey’s here” — at Strawberry’s Happy Jack Realty with a branch office in Happy Jack.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
