For some time now, my wife Jayne has been running our Git A Rope Publishing Company with little or no help from me.
We have turned down jobs and set aside our own half-finished books because we are too involved in other activities. We are both work-a-holics and a few years ago we could burn the candle at both ends, but that doesn’t work so well anymore.
Last week, we forgot to show up for our radio show. As the old saying goes, “The faster we go, the behinder we get.”
Along with pulling out of several organizations, we have decided to forgo “My Horseback Opinion” column in the Payson Roundup.
I appreciate the opportunity I was given to write for the Roundup. Also, I appreciate the slaps on the back and compliments from all of you who have supported me and taken the time to call or come into Git A Rope Trading Company to tell me how much you enjoyed my columns.
Meanwhile, I will continue to support my hometown newspaper as they have supported a somewhat atypical cowboy columnist.
