Free Edward Jones foundations of investing seminar Oct. 13

Fear of the unknown sometimes prevents people from investing in the future. Developing an understanding of the basics simplifies the process of getting started in an investment program.
Scott Flake, an Edward Jones financial adviser, is hosting a free 50-minute educational seminar titled “Foundations of Investing” to give people the basics of investing.
The seminar is from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the Good Samaritan Society Majestic Rim, 310 E. Tyler Parkway.
The seminar will address the needs of new investors as well as those needing a refresher.
During the seminar, participants will learn more about: the key features of bonds, stocks and mutual funds; the importance of asset allocation; and the impact of inflation on your long-term goals.
