Witches and goblins looking for a place to enjoy Halloween night should look no further than Kohl’s Ranch Lodge.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, Kohl’s Ranch will host a séance that promises to reintroduce ghosts of the ranch’s past.
Located only a few miles outside of Payson, the historic lodge invites everyone to come out in costume and participate in a holiday spook-tacular complete with prizes, spirits of both kinds and characters reliving their past life in the present.
Humor Me Comedy Troupe, headed by Kathleen Kelly and Jim West, will be on hand to conjure up history’s legends and lore during the show, “The Haunting of Kohl’s Ranch.”
According to Kelly, former proprietors will rise from the dead in depictions mimicking the lives of past ranch hands, lodgers, a bride left at the altar, children who attended school on the property and associates of the famous author Zane Grey.
After the show, West will continue the show with a magic show and top it off with a two-hour set of wide-ranging tunes.
“The Haunting at Kohl’s Ranch” begins with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the show at 6:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $35.
