Quilts And Quilters Will Be Celebrated During 5th Annual Roundup Nov. 12-15

This year’s Quilt Roundup will have a special exhibit, Showcasing Rim Country Talent, featuring work by Gina Perkes and other local quilters.

The 5th Annual Rim Country Quilt Roundup features a quilt show with works from around the country, plus classes, a vendor mall and more. This year, the popular event will be presented Nov. 12-15 at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino Exhibit Hall.

Admission to the exhibit is $3 for those 13 and older, or $2 with a can of food for local food banks. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15. The show will have a special exhibit, Showcasing Rim Country Talent, which will feature work by Sharon Schamber, Gina Perkes, Leslie Peacock, Monika Hancock, Debbie Stanton and many more.

Lectures and workshops are planned throughout the event, starting Thursday, Nov. 12 and continuing through Saturday, Nov. 14. There will be both day-long and half-day classes. The lectures will take about an hour. The day-long workshop registration closes Nov. 11, but participants can sign up for the lectures and half-day workshops at the show. A few are free, others require a minimal fee.

Nora Mohr, an accredited quilt appraiser, will be available by appointment to appraise quilts brought in by the public.
