Editor:
On Oct. 3, a crew of 24 volunteers assisted in cleaning up the outside yards of nine elderly homeowners in Pine and Strawberry who are unable to take care of this on their own.
We offered this to the elderly to allow them to live more independently in their homes and create a fire safe property.
We cleaned up 5.5 acres of property and had the assistance of a donated Dumpster by Waste Matters, making the job a lot easier.
I want to thank the Rimside Grill for co-sponsoring the event and a very huge thank you for all the volunteers for their hard work.
We were all touched, moved, and inspired by giving back to a much-needed area of our community.
Julie Kosloski, chairperson for the event

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
