After a thief made off with at least $700 in goods from a Big Brothers Big Sisters storage locker Wednesday, Robert Henley said he doesn’t know what they will use for upcoming events.
Henley, director of the BBBS program for northern Gila County, said Program Specialist April Quinlan discovered the storage unit had been broken into when she went to retrieve several items.
When she arrived at Rim Country Self-Storage and U-Haul, the lock to the unit was missing and a thief had “messed things up pretty good inside.”
The last time anyone had been to the storage unit was Oct. 6.
The thief made off with a commercialgrade heavy-duty shade tent, lockable cash box and 10 foldable camp chairs with the BBBSAZ logo on the back.
The chairs are used as prizes for pledges.
Henley filed a police report but he hopes someone knows of or has seen the chairs or tent.
Anyone with information should call the Payson Police Department.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
