Editor:
While health care continues to dominate the national debate, climate change is not far behind.
We can all agree that policy is needed to make our planet healthier, but the Kerry-Boxer bill unfortunately does not do that. It doesn’t curb our dependence on foreign oil, nor does it expand on ways we can create alternative sources of energy.
All it does is what the House bill does, and that is tax the industry through the silly cap-and-trade agenda.
It is a bad bill, and I’m glad that Senator McCain, the Farmers Bureau, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have all said the same thing. We need smart policy to encourage growth, and this is not that policy.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
