After taking over ownership of Cardo’s Italian Restaurant in early August, new owners Joni and Craig Dalton have started to make changes.
While they plan to keep the restaurant’s warm interior and menu favorites, they plan to warm up the outside patio, mix up the menu and offer new daily specials.
On Thursday night, they have already started offering a complimentary appetizer and $1 drafts.
On top of offering new specials and live entertainment, Cardo’s continues to offer pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, prime rib and seafood in a relaxing atmosphere.
“As current owners of the Sugar Shack, we have four years of retail experience,” Dalton said. “We (Joni and Craig) both share the same passion for cooking and have many years experience in the kitchen.”
Cardo’s is open Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, call (928) 468-1626.
Joni said she wanted to clarify that an Aug. 18 photo caption that ran in the Roundup, incorrectly stated it was Joni and Craig Dalton pictured. The man pictured with Joni was their former manager.
Additionally, a coupon than ran in the Oct. 20 paper had an incorrect expiration date. Cardo’s will accept them through Nov. 19.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
