Rim Country seniors — and everyone else — can get a jump start on good health for the coming winter months at the 11th annual Community Health and Care Fair Nov. 7 at the “old gym” at Payson High School.
If you are not a senior adult yet you probably know someone who is. The Rim Country is home to many retirees, some lucky enough to have grown old here, others who are more recent arrivals.
In both cases, these are men and women who have contributed and continue to share their skills and wisdom with all their neighbors.
With this edition of the Senior Review, the Roundup hopes to bring information our senior readers — their families and friends — will find helpful in navigating the changing currents of life.
Inside we profile the new director of the Payson Senior Center, Joanne Conlin; share information about the Payson Regional Senior Circle; preview the upcoming 11th annual Community Health & Care Fair; and offer a variety of other information.
There are articles about such things as Medicare’s open enrollment period; having an advance care plan and will; dealing with financial issues during a life crisis; helping loved ones with a hearing loss; dealing with the pain of arthritis in the colder months ahead; and self-care when coping with a chronic illness.
We have a feature about seniors volunteering and volunteering to help seniors. There is also an article about the best feed and feeders to bring the beauty of birds to your back yard during the winter months ahead.
Thanks for reading.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
