Payson Area Habitat for Humanity (PAHH) will hold its Dedication of Phase II of Longhorn Village, from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8.
The event will begin with a welcome and dedication ceremony and then the homes will be open to tour. Refreshments will be provided.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a “pound of love”— such things as paper goods, cleaning supplies, staple foods, anything to help the families adjust to their new homes. The dedication completes the second phase of the PAHH project at Longhorn Village, at the intersection of McLane and Longhorn roads, just the west of the Payson High School parking lot. The first phase included four townhouse homes, which were completed in December 2008. This phase includes five more homes. A third phase is planned to complete the site.
Each family has qualified for these homes by meeting financial requirements, providing “sweat equity,” and completing formal classes. Families purchasing these homes are: Amber DeWitt and son; Ethan and Kellie LaFave and sons Ryan and Brandon; Emily Morton and son Ravin; Sharon Weston and Jonathon, Micah, Jericho, Dakota and Josiah; Mick and Jackie Wolf and Logan, Austin and MacKensie.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
