Police are releasing few new details about an armored bank vehicle that was robbed Friday night by a group of armed individuals.
Payson Police Chief Don Engler said they are waiting on getting user information from Bank of America before they say how much, if any money was taken.
“We are still in the initial investigation stages,” he said. At this time, no one has been arrested, but Engler does not want to risk hurting the investigation by releasing details of the robbery.
Around 8 p.m., the independent Bank of America courier from the Valley was traveling south on Highway 87 when an unknown number of armed individuals stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of South Beeline Highway. No one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
