Years teaching: Taught in the Air Force Computer Technical School the last six years of military career and this is third year in public schools.
Personal motto: It is easy enough to be pleasant when life flows along like a song, but the man worthwhile is the one who will smile when everything goes dead wrong.
Family: Wife, Kathleen (substitute teacher), son, Steven (a Marine), daughter, Megan (PHS graduate 2009), son, John (freshman at PHS)
Pet peeve: Being late and dishonesty.
Favorite leisure activity: Outdoors — fishing, hunting, camping
Person in history you’d most like to meet: I would like to meet General George S. Patton because he was a great leader and motivated his troops to overcome tremendous obstacles.
Why Payson? It reminds me of my home state of Montana — but a lot warmer.
Favorite teacher as a kid? My 10th-grade math teacher was my favorite because he really cared about the students.
Favorite subject in school: Choir — It was easy to practice and I was fairly good at it.
Favorite year in school? Senior year was the best because I wasn’t as self-conscious and I was involved with activities that made me grow.
