Payson Art League has invited The Mountain Saddle Band, a trio of talented artists as well as musicians, to play for the public, the Art League and residents of Rim Country Health & Retirement Community at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Light refreshments and a “Show & Share” session will precede a short business meeting.
Come meet the band and see their artwork. The Mountain Saddle band was founded in 2002 by Steve Harrington as part of his ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low, Ariz. Production is now underway on a new CD, “The Ballad of Kitty Jo” – which tells the story of a young lady and her cowboy on Arizona’s Mogollon Rim in 11 poems, spaced between 11 cowboy songs. Completion is expected by Thanksgiving.
The band includes Steve Harrington, rhythm guitar and vocals; Rusty Weiss, bass guitar and vocals and Steve Taylor, harmonica and vocals.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
