Veterans Helping Veterans Needs Community’S Help

Misty Isley, director of Veterans Helping Veterans, is a retired lieutenant colonel in her 80s. She is a three-time survivor of cancer. Misty does more in a 24-hour day than most people do in an entire lifetime.

Mother Theresa once said, “What we do is like a drop of water in an ocean.” But once that moment is gone, it is lost forever. At least two-dozen people depend on Misty for food, clothing, shelter and love each day. Misty has many veterans at the homeless shelter, however, a few others like myself, who are ill and helpless, also need her help and love every day. Let’s not turn our backs on Misty’s vision for the veterans home. Thousands of veterans have been helped by Misty over the years.

Funding is slow coming in, but the bills are piling up! Please help now. Time is running out. Veterans Helping Veterans needs your support now. Send your checks to Veterans Helping Veterans, 212 W. Wade Lane, Payson, AZ 85541, or call (928) 474-3920.

Misty Isley Helped me when there was no one else for me. I had an appointment with the VA Hospital in Phoenix. My truck was broken down. Misty used her personal car and took me to the hospital and waited for me until I was released to go home. Misty also helped me with filing for my disability rating. This all happened at a time when the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) had closed it's chapter here in Payson. They were not here to help. -Fred
