Several weeks ago, manager Quinn Cremer of Walmart presented a $500 donation check to Bill Sahno of the Marine Corps League.
Sahno said Walmart has continued to support non-profits during this period of economic stress.
“This is just one example of their generosity,” he said. “We all benefit from the generosity of this large retailer.”
Sahno pointed out that even though local businesses are experiencing economic challenges, our local Walmart store continues to partner with non-profit organizations by providing generous donations which are appreciated and put to good use in the community.
Sahno said he knows of several other non-profit organizations who have received checks from Walmart and use them to do good in the community.
The Marine Corps League will use the money to fund part of their scholarship fund and to buy American flags, which they put out around town for various holidays.

Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
