Bright, shiny beauties of all sizes and ages will grace the streets of Payson this weekend when the Rim Country Classic Auto Club will bring its 17th Annual Beeline Cruise-In and Car Show to Green Valley Park.

This year’s show will be exciting from start to finish, kicking off Friday, April 23 with registration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; then at 4 p.m., the Cruise-In parade through town starts at the park, goes east on Main Street to the Beeline, where it turns north to Highway 260, proceeds east to the Tyler Parkway light, where it will head north and come back onto the Beeline, and then head south to Old Main and west to GVP.

The Kiwanis Club will have a Brat Burn for participants, with desserts provided by the women of the RCCAC and music by Junction 87.

The big show starts at 8 a.m., Saturday, April 24 with registration. Guests can enjoy strolling among the many beautiful antique, vintage and classic cars, food from vendors and old-fashioned rock ’n’ roll from KCMA FM 98.5.

Show awards and door prize presentations start at 3:30 p.m. Grand prizes are a hot rod barbecue for the men and jewelry from Payson Jewelers for the women.

Admission and free parking for spectators is available.

Editor’s note: Information appearing in the April 20 edition of the Roundup stating there was time to register a vehicle for the show and shuttles touring area businesses for raffle tickets was incorrect. It apparently came from a source not affiliated with the show or hosting car club.
