Interstate 40 Closed Between Flagstaff And Winslow Due To Blowing Dust

The Arizona Department of Transportation has closed portions of Interstate 40 due to high winds and blowing dust.

The eastbound closure is located at the Two Guns Interchange (milepost 230), where traffic is being turned around. The westbound closure is in Winslow (milepost 252), where traffic may exit into the city.

Public safety is ADOT’s highest priority. The highway will remain closed until visibility improves. Drivers should avoid the area for the rest of Wednesday.

Drivers can get the latest information about highway restrictions via ADOT’s Travel Information site at or by calling 5-1-1.
