Colt White is the best candidate for the position of constable for the Payson precinct. He is a law enforcement officer with over 18 years of experience, he knows and understands the Gila County justice system, having served as a deputy in the Gila County Sheriff’s Office and he knows the rural areas as well as the incorporated areas of our community.
Colt’s father, Phil White, and grandfather, E.G. White, were friends of mine and strong supporters of many activities in northern Gila County. Like Colt, they believed in the goodness of people.
The constable’s work is important and requires them to serve orders of protection, writs, subpoenas and summons, and to be an officer of the court. As a retired Payson police chief, I would not endorse a candidate to serve in the capacity of constable unless I truly felt that he was the best person for the job.
