I read with interest Dennis Miller’s narration of the Shirley Sherrod’s (not Sherry) resignation which Mr. Miller claims was caused by hasty reporting from Fox News. Unfortunately, Mr. Miller did not follow the story, or maybe he only read it on progressive Web site.
Fact is, Ms Sherrod’s resignation came after four calls from the White House (prior to 1 p.m. EST) demanding her resignation hours before Fox News ran the story! (Note: Fox News has 24-hour news cycle and could have run the story much earlier.)
It was first broadcast on Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin Zone at 5 p.m. our time, 8 p.m. EST, hours after the Obama administration demanded her resignation and her forced resignation was what was reported by O’Reilly with the video!
Not only that, Fox News was the first news outlet that corrected the story and played the entire video where Ms. Sherrod explains her change of heart.
Another note, Glenn Beck ignored the story entirely!
Sorry Dennis, but your letter is nothing more than bovine scatology from the uniformed left.
The fact is that the Obama administration’s knee-jerk response without all the facts is the story! Just more truth that we “Can’t trust the president!”
