The Arizona Department of Transportation will conduct a pavement preservation project on a portion of Lake Mary Road between Stoneman Lake Road and Happy Jack Ranger Station (milepost 307.5 to milepost 310). The work is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 16.
Construction will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays, as well as weekends. The work should be completed by Sunday, Aug. 29, weather permitting. The project will include asphalt paving with a new friction course overlay, which will provide better traction and reduce traffic noise.
During roadway construction, motorists may experience lane restrictions, reduced speed and rough road conditions. Drivers are encouraged to expect delays and to use extra caution and obey posted speed limits through the construction zone. For information, please contact Lindsay Daley at (928) 526-2735 ext. 17; e-mail ldaley@coconino.az.gov.
