A Vote For Colt

Editor:

Two things I do not like to do: One is to write (letters to the editor) and the other is to engage in politics. But in this case, I have to make an exception. I have known Colt White for about six or seven years. I know that is not a long time, but in the law enforcement community, it is plenty long enough to establish an opinion about someone. I am a Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran. I served in the U.S. Army active, National Guard, and Army Reserve for over 28 years. I retired after more than 32 years in law enforcement in Arizona. I have met and worked with many officers during that time. Although I did not work with Colt in a professional capacity, I have been around him enough to know of his integrity and his sincerity. He is one of the most honest individuals I have been pleased to meet and what a great family man.

Colt is one of those professionals that not only looks at the letter of the law but also looks at the spirit of the law. I know from experience that counts for a lot. He has 18 years of law enforcement experience and was raised in the Rim Country. He knows the area, knows the people, and his experience is more than enough to qualify him to hold the office of constable in Northern Gila County. Experience and good interaction with the public are essential. The duties of constable are extremely important and are often taken for granted. The serving of subpoenas, other court papers, and especially orders of protection cannot be taken lightly. Colt has a great attitude and personality that will benefit the office of constable.

All are good candidates, but I feel very comfortable endorsing Colt White for the office of constable.
