The Arizona Department of Transportation is continuing its effort to transform a two-lane segment of State Route 260, 15 miles east of Payson, to a four-lane divided highway.
The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2011.
Drivers can expect brief delays at night as excavated material is hauled across the roadway from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, through Thursday, Aug. 19.
Drivers should allow extra time to reach their destinations. Speed limits are reduced and a width restriction of 10 feet is in place.
Information regarding the project is available on the toll-free project hotline at (877) 521-1118.
