With the recent rain, fire activity on the 600-acre Ranger Fire has slowed considerably. The fire will continue to burn, but at this time no more management ignitions are planned, smoke within the Blue Ridge area has reduced and should remain low.

I was in the office of the Roundup arranging for my paid ads recently and while there, I observed an elderly lady who arrived at the counter to purchase multiple copies of the edition with the obituary and related feature articles on the tragic death of Mike Barr, son of Payson Police Sgt. Les Barr and his wife Deena. Your receptionist was so kind to her, learning she was grandmother to Mike.
