This morning, Wednesday, Aug. 18, I watched as animal control removed the body of a beautiful white goose that had been hit by a car. These geese roam the streets surrounding the pond on Longhorn and Payson Parkway. Drivers use these two streets as a raceway, disregarding the speed limit of 25 miles per hour.
Drivers, please be mindful of the wildlife on these streets and please slow down, if not for the animals, then for our children.
