St. Vincent de Paul said “… I must act in such a way that people love their Creator and each other in mutual charity ….” This very feeling was overwhelmingly shown by Payson’s outpouring of time, money and food since this past summer, but most especially this Thanksgiving season.
When we decided to take on the responsibility of the food bank, we did so with faith that we would be given the time, treasures and talent to carry out St. Vincent’s mission of charity. Never did we realize that the Payson community would have been so willing to help this organization carry out its mission to seek and find the forgotten, the suffering or the deprived.
The fruitfulness of our mission does not spring from this organization alone, but from the generosity and compassion of you, our community. So from a grateful Society, we thank you. God bless you all!
