Problems At Home Depot Roundabout

Editor:

How many accidents will it take for the state to change roundabout at Home Depot back to two lanes when entering it from the south.

It was two lanes up until November, week of 22. It is not the heavy travel spring, summer or fall when the Valley people are here. I have already seen traffic backed up from the roundabout (southbound) past Houston Mesa Road. It will cause a lot of accidents.

I think the traffic Circle (it is not a roundabout) works just great. The only problem I have ever seen was a senior who drove the wrong way (I think intentionally) to make a left turn on to Tyler parkway from s/b Hwy 87 so that they did not have to drive round the curve. I like the new traffic circles. Since the new island has been installed, that is no longer possible unless you jump the raised curb.

Don you are absolutely right, The traffic circle works when everyone understands that yield doesn't mean give up. Approach the circle slowly watch for vehicle signals, ( can't tell you how much that helps) then go....go slow if you want but go. That is what makes them work. It's like a legal California stop.
