Hello again, fellow Creekers.
Well the holidays are upon us and I am getting a flood of events that are happening right here in Christopher Creek. So, here is the most up-to-date list of holiday goings-on that I have.
You are cordially invited to the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship Christmas Potluck Dinner at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18 at 1036 E. Christopher Creek Loop. White elephant gift exchange (optional) with an old-fashioned sing-along.
Just one more reminder that at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, the annual cart parade starts at the Landmark Restaurant parking lot and will wind through nearby neighborhoods.
The fun continues afterward at the Creekside Restaurant with early bird dinner specials, free hot chocolate, drink specials, carolers and a bonfire! All cart participants will get a $5 gift certificate from the Creekside Restaurant just for entering. There are many other great prizes being given away courtesy of our local Christopher Creek businesses.
On Wednesday nights, the Creekside Restaurant runs free Texas Hold ’em poker tournaments. Newcomers are always welcome.
Also, as a reminder, all kids eat free on Christmas Eve day at Creekside. They will be open from noon until 6 p.m. on Christmas Day. The Creekside will close on Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. for the employee party.
For information on all local events, don’t forget to look online at www.ChristopherCreekLoop.com.
I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving and that the rest of 2010 is joyous.
As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cut-off time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.
Thanks again for reading the column.
