Editor:

Thank you, Payson. All of the volunteers at Payson Helping Payson want to thank every church, service organization and individual, in Payson, that financially helped us get through this very difficult and demanding year.

Requests for help with rent and utility payments for families and individuals in crisis reached an all-time high in 2010. But, every time that our bank account seemed headed for the red, help arrived from our regular donors and sometimes from unexpected sources.

We made it through the year helping our local residents in need. We did not have to turn anyone away thanks to the ongoing generosity of our community.

For 2010, Payson Helping Payson has been designated by the State of Arizona Department of Revenue as a “Qualifying Charitable Organization.” Individuals donating up to $200 and couples donating up to $400 are eligible for CDC or Charitable Tax Credit that can be directly deducted from your state tax liability. Checks can be mailed to Payson Helping Payson, P.O. Box 231, Payson, AZ 85547 and, you will receive appropriate documentation for your state tax return.

You can be assured that your donations will help a local family. Payson Helping Payson is a “hand-to-mouth” organization. 100 percent of all donated funds that come in are distributed to our clients. We have no expenses.
