President Obama appears to have had an epiphany, as he cringes from the public health option debate early this year and more recently his “compromise” on the Bush tax plan. It’s what most Americans have already known, which is — you cannot satisfy liberals.
Trying to do so is like being married to Jennifer Lopez or owning a Maserati; no matter how much attention you give them, they always need more. This high maintenance costs lots of money.
On the other hand, it’s extremely easy to please conservatives — just stay out of the way!
