Flu Shots

Flu shots are still available at the Gila County Office of Health in Payson and Globe.

Children’s flu vaccine (for children 6 months through 18 years of age) is free. The standard flu vaccine for adults is $20.

There is a “Fluzone High-Dose” shot avail- able for those 65 years of age and older. Those 65 years and older can choose a standard flu vaccine or the Fluzone High Dose vaccine. Both are covered by Medicare Part B. For those indi- viduals without Medicare Part B the cost for Fluzone High-Dose will be $40.

Shred-A-Thon

Gather up all those documents you want to safely dispose of and put them in a bankers box (10”x12”x15”) for shredding.

The next Payson Shred-A-Thon will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full, whichever comes first, Friday, Jan. 14.

Businesses and individuals can take advan- tage of this mobile shredding service to proper- ly dispose of sensitive documents onsite in the parking lot of Walmart, 300 N. Beeline Highway.

Look for the TNT Shredding truck parked near the highway in the Walmart parking lot.

The cost per bankers box (10”x12”x15”) is $6, cash or check for payment. Other sized boxes may be used but the cost will be estimat- ed based on volume. TNT Shredding will donate part of the proceeds to Kiwanis. Bring sensitive documents, get them shredded, and support the Kiwanis dental program for chil- dren in need.

This event is sponsored by the Rim Country Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis of Zane Grey Country, and TNT Shredding. Contact Tim at (480) 329-7412 for further information.
