Right To Keep And Bear Arms Is Most Important Amendment

Editor:

I (agree that we should) celebrate the Bill of Rights on Dec. 15 as pointed out by Tina Terry in the Dec. 10, Payson Roundup mail call. However, there was one oversight in not mentioning the most important amendment. The Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. The right of the people to keep and bear arms.

This amendment gives the people the strength and clout to keep the federal government in check, and protect the Bill of Rights and all the other amendments. Without the Second Amendment we can only hope the government will honor the Bill of Rights, now and in the future.

Even though we all know how trustworthy our government officials can be and we know that they would never, ever pass laws and legislation that’s clearly against the will of the people.
