Salvation Army angel tree still has lots of tags
The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree is up and decorated with tags listing the names and Christmas wishes for area children in need at National Bank of Arizona, 804 S. Beeline Highway, south of the chamber office.
There are lots of tags left, so area residents interested in helping the program need to get to the bank, claim a tag and return the gifts no later than Wednesday, Dec. 22.
Artist of the Rim Gallery supports area charities
Shop local and support local charities. Through Dec. 31, Artists of the Rim Fine Art Gallery, 408 W. Main St., is sponsoring its first annual fund-raising event to help support Time Out Shelter, Humane Society of Central Arizona, the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank and Payson Community Kids.
Participating artists will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from sales made between Dec. 17 and Dec. 31 to the listed nonprofits.
The members of the cooperative gallery urge their neighbors in the Rim Country to support Payson, support Payson’s artists and support Payson’s charities.
Books and more
Select from hundreds of new books and gifts at the Books Are Fun Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22 in the Payson Regional Medical Center west lobby.
