State Needs Stronger Seat Belt Law

Editor:

Another needless death on Highway 87, the apparent result of no seat belt use.

I simply cannot understand why our state Legislature cannot create and pass a mandatory seat belt law with teeth. California has one — $143 minimum fine, and you can and will be stopped for just that one violation.

It’s way past the time to get off the pot here in Arizona.
