Little League registration continues until tryouts

Registration for the 2010 Little League season will continue until tryouts, which are scheduled for Feb. 20 for softball and Feb. 27 for baseball.
Anyone interested in playing can go to National Bank of Arizona, 804 S. Beeline, to register. The fee is $80 for the first player in a family, $75 for second and third is free.
Softball tryouts will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 20. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m. Tryouts will be held at the Kiwanis fields in Rumsey park.
All girls 9 to 12 years old must try out if they were not on a majors team last year.
The softball program is still looking for two majors coaches and one minors coach.
The program will have a coaches’ clinic the beginning of March, presented by Curtis Johnson. If anyone is interested in coaching, please contact Felicia Moore at (928) 476-5440.
Baseball tryouts will be Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Kiwanis fields. All boys 9 to 12 not already on a majors team need to tryout.
Payson Little League has a new president, Brad Wright. He has been involved with Little League for several years as the player agent.
Tiffany Taylor has taken his position as boys’ player agent. Slade Gibson will stay as vice-president for the boys.
