The 2010 census is under way and Rim Country residents can soon expect to receive a letter from the director of the U.S. Census Bureau explaining the process. The letter explains that census takers will be coming to homes to deliver a form to be filled out and mailed back.
Between March 1 and April 2, census takers will be in rural areas, where most of the housing units do not have a city-style address such as 4505 Main Street, delivering census forms. The dropped off form needs to be completed and mailed back to the U.S. Census Bureau. Census workers carry a tote bag issued by the Census Bureau and an official ID badge. Census workers will never ask for money or bank account information.
For more information about census activities in the area, call the Denver Regional Census Center at (720) 475-3626 to locate a local census office.
