College campus would be good for Payson

Editor:
The recent letters to the editor regarding the proposed ASU campus in Payson are baseless at best.
The reality is that Payson needs something like this to put it on the map. For too long the powers that be in Payson have not been thinking “outside the box.” An ASU campus in Payson would benefit the construction industry, restaurants, clerical and support staff, and would even increase the value of our homes by creating a demand to live in this area by the people who would work there.
Don’t let people fool you; there won’t be 6,000 extra cars in Payson because of this campus.
Remember, an educated population only helps an area like Payson.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
