Police say two Pine teens were busted last week for possession of marijuana after reportedly smoking on a bus to school.
Roger Hollaway, 18, and a 16-year-old male were greeted at Payson High School by Payson police officers and deputies with Gila County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Feb. 16 after someone called police to report that the two teens were smoking either tobacco or marijuana on the school bus from Pine, said Payson Chief Don Engler.
Rather than pull the bus over in route, officers waited for the bus to arrive at school.
At school, the two teens reportedly admitted to officers they were in possession of marijuana, but because Hollaway also had a tobacco product on him, officers are unsure if they were smoking marijuana or tobacco on the bus.
Another 16-year-old male on the bus was also arrested for possession of tobacco after police found chewing tobacco on him.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
