The Rim Country’s first baby of 2010 is Jeremy Shannon, in the arms of his mother, Kody Kepp, who was also a New Year’s baby. Jeremy was welcomed by (from left) his father, Matthew Shannon, Diane Christensen, PRMC nurse, and PRMC Chief Executive Officer Chris Wolf.
It’s a boy!
Kody Kepp and Matthew Shannon, both of Payson, are the proud parents of Jeremy Shannon who was born at 6:10 a.m., Jan. 1, at Payson Regional Medical Center Family Birthing Center.
Cynthia Booth, M.D., of Preferred Women’s Care, delivered Jeremy, who weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long.
PRMC’s Chief Executive Officer Chris Wolf was on hand to congratulate the proud parents. Wolf presented the parents and new baby with gift baskets from Payson Regional Medical Center and Mogollon Health Alliance to celebrate the first baby of the new year.
In addition, mom Kody Kepp, who was a New Year’s baby herself, received a bag of goodies from the Tiny Toes Maternity Club program.
Tiny Toes is PRMC’s comprehensive health care resource for women in the Payson community who are pregnant. The program brings together many resources that expectant mothers will need.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
