A great publication for hunters

Some of my earliest memories of the outdoors were actually encouraged by reading numerous magazines that had fascinating stories about fishing and hunting. An Outdoor Life or a Field and Stream was usually read from cover to cover in one evening, which would usually give me plenty of ammunition for day-dreaming material.
Relocating from Iowa to Arizona a long time ago created the opportunity to fulfill my dreams of hunting the big game of the West for more years than I sometimes care to admit. Reading those periodicals has come and gone, but the lure of the outdoors continues to fascinate me and planning for the next hunt is always on the back burner.
A couple of months ago, longtime friend Steve Smith gave me a few copies of a magazine named the Western Hunter and I began to read a number of articles on improving tactics in hunting big game. I realized that these outdoor tips could dramatically improve my chances of pursuing an animal in the field.
One story led to another and before long the magazine had been read from cover to cover.
The stories not only described the success of the hunt, but all the preparation and physical planning necessary for a variety of very rugged wilderness experiences.
The factual information in each article is a wealth of knowledge that every hunter should be aware of before going into the field.
The Western Hunter is an Arizona-based magazine; all the contributing writers and editor are seasoned veterans in the outdoors and they share their expertise with readers.
Each issue has 10 well-written stories about big game hunting in the West, with a focus on Arizona and New Mexico.
Each issue has a section where new products are previewed, so the hunter can get the best possible equipment for the dollars spent.
This was especially helpful to me as I was considering a new lightweight tripod that would be durable as well as save a little weight in the backpack for those long walks in the wilderness.
The Western Hunter magazine is published four times yearly, with a subscriber base of well over 20,000 readers, a number that continues to rise with each new issue.
This is one magazine I would highly recommend for the novice as well as the veteran hunter who wants to improve his or her skill in the field, while pursuing that trophy animal. The cost is $19.95 annually or $29.95 for a two-year subscription.
Go to westernhuntermagazine.net for further information or if you prefer placing your order by phone call 1-800-291-8065 and receive a free copy of the magazine.
This weekend enjoy the Arizona outdoors, God’s creation.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
