Performance to help local food bank, veterans

John Carpino and the Hot Cappuccinos will give a benefit performance beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Buffalo Bar and Grill.
Local favorites John Carpino and the Hot Cappuccinos will present a benefit performance from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Buffalo Bar and Grill in Payson.
Donations will be accepted for both the local food bank and Veterans Helping Veterans program. Admission is free, but those attending are asked to bring canned foods or nonperishable food items to help the food bank. Monetary donations as well as proceeds from the sales of John Carpino’s CD releases will go to Veterans Helping Veterans. More information is available at www.johncarpino.com.
“These are tough times for a lot of people. We’d like to help out in some small way and, perhaps more importantly, bring awareness to some of these issues. So, come out and enjoy some great music and dancing while at the same time helping out our friends and neighbors who are a bit less fortunate,” Carpino said.
