Kerry Wright

Name: Kerry Wright

School and position: I am the administrative assistant at Payson Center for Success, who wears 15 hats. I am also the yearbook adviser and the developer of our yearly graduation video.

College degree and major: I am a certified court reporter who doesn’t work in the field because I am not a very quiet person. I love interacting with people. PCS provides wonderful students and peers to share my life with five days a week.

Personal motto / words of wisdom: Honesty is the first chapter in the book of Wisdom — by: Thomas Jefferson

Family: I have a wonderful family. My husband of 28 years, Allan. Two grown sons, Steven and Joshua, a lovely daughter-in-law, Chrissy, and the three best grandsons in the world, Ian, Ethan and Aiden.

Pet peeve: I dislike rude or unkind people.

Favorite hobby or leisure activity: I am an avid reader (of all subject matter). I love to four wheel and hunt and I am in the process of attempting to learn to play the harp.

Person in history you’d most like to meet and why: Queen Elizabeth the 1st because she survived a hazardous childhood and became a monarch that developed economic and military strength in her country while maintaining her faith and for the most part the love of her people.

Why Payson? Payson provides great people, beautiful scenery and the calm lifestyle that my husband and I love.

In school, who was your favorite teacher and why? Mr. Stone. He was my American History and Ancient Civilizations teacher in the 10th and 12th grades.

What was your favorite subject in school and why? I have always been passionate about history and believe that we can all gain knowledge from the past that can be applied to our lives today and hopefully not repeat mistakes.

What was your favorite year in school and why? My last year of college because I was almost done — yeah!
