Meeting the challenges of everyday life coupled with the stresses resulting from the new economic climate, it is hard to stay in balance. So, the 12th Annual Women’s Wellness Forum is featuring the theme of getting in balance.
The forum, open to 300 participants is set for Saturday, March 13 at Payson High School. Early registration is recommended.
The program is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features nine breakout sessions built around the theme of balance, titled “Our Health Matters ... So Let’s Bounce Into Balance.”
The day will be anchored by a keynote address by Alison Vincent, winner of NBC’s Biggest Loser, season 5, and the show’s first female winner. An Arizona native, Vincent is a dynamic and inspirational speaker, according to information from one of the forum’s sponsors, the Mogollon Health Alliance. She is a television host, philanthropist, author and former synchronized swimmer.
She went on the “Biggest Loser” show weighing 234 and came away losing 122 pounds. Her personal mantra is, “Believe It. Be It.”
Opening the day’s activities will be Christy Walton, who will give a 30-minute demonstration class of the popular dance-exercise program, Zumba!®.
Vincent will present her program at 8 a.m.
Breakout sessions are: balancing life with exercise; balancing your healthy soul; bounce into balance with home repairs; bouncing back in financial hard times; choosing the right foods; face reading; managing aches and pains; bounce back with health and hope.
Among the presenters will be Nina Ray, Dane Owens, Lori Vario, Simone Lake, Kevin Dick and Christine Bollier.
The cost is $10 per person and scholarships are available. Call the Mogollon Health Alliance, (928) 472-2588, to get a brochure for registration. The deadline to sign up is March 9.
