Dog walk in Green Valley Park

Editor:
It was a very mild January day and I had a new dog. I decided a walk around Green Valley Lake would be nice and expose my inquisitive dog to new things.
As soon as we got out of the car and stepped up onto the sidewalk, I decided I had made a big mistake. This was the grossest, nastiest place I have ever been. The geese are not the only ones making the messes down there, the people who walk their dogs and don’t clean up after them are the worse. Shame on them.
Dogs are naturally curious and I had a hard time keeping mine from investigating all the dog litter. I won’t be going back, that’s for sure. Perhaps the sheriff’s office should be using their juvenile offenders to do some clean-up at the lakes. What a shame that we have such a pretty area, but its unusable.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
