Just in time for the tax season, longtime Payson certified public accountant Stephanie J. Tangeman has teamed up with H&S Accounting, LLC out of the Valley.
For the last two years, Tangeman has worked independently from her home as an accountant for commercial and private clients. Prior to that, she worked at a local CPA firm for more than a decade.
In the fall, Tangeman was hired on with H&S who was looking to expand into the Rim Country. H&S also has offices in Phoenix and Sun City.
“Although I really enjoyed the independence of working on my own, I missed the dynamics of a firm environment, such as the camaraderie with co-workers and peers, the commitment and teamwork, and the network of professional resources,” Tangeman said.
H&S Accounting, LLC is a perfect match for Tangeman because they too offer income tax, accounting and business consulting services.
They offer a wide range of services year-round to both individual and business clients. H&S believes in building long-term relationships with their clients based on integrity, trust and mutual respect.
Tangeman said she also values creating a bond and trust with clients and has several longtime clients that have stayed with her through her professional transitions.
“I have had some of the same clients the entire time I have been in Payson,” she said. “I get personal enjoyment out of getting to know clients.”
This is the 26th tax season for Tangeman, who has worked in public accounting since graduating college in Iowa in the 1984.

Tangeman offers a free initial consultation to new clients to discuss current and future needs and provide a no-obligation cost estimate of services.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
