Payson Superintendent Named Ffa Administrator Of Year

Superintendent Casey O’Brien accepts the FFA’s State Administrator of the Year award from State FFA Vice-President Ben Menges.

Payson Unified School District Superintendent Casey O’Brien was recognized as the Arizona FFA (Future Farmers of America) Administrator of the Year at the annual FFA awards ceremony June 10 in Tucson.

O’Brien was chosen for his outstanding support of agricultural education and FFA chapters from the district level.

O’Brien noted that, “to be affiliated with Arizona FFA in any capacity is an honor, as this is a wonderful student support organization. This award came as a huge surprise and I owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Stevens and our local FFA.”

In addition, Payson High School agriculture science teacher Wendell Stevens was recognized for 30 years of service to agriculture education and FFA.

Stevens was named Arizona Agriculture Education Teacher of the Year in 2008.
