Southbound Highway 87 was closed for several hours Thursday night after a tractor-trailer rolled over four miles south of town.
The commercial truck was traveling southbound on the highway around 5:45 p.m. when the driver lost control and rolled in an area known as Corvair Curve.
The Arizona Department of Transportation closed both lanes of southbound travel for roughly three hours while emergency crews worked to clear the overturned tractortrailer, a DPS spokesperson said.
The driver of the truck was injured, but the extent of his injuries is unknown at press time.
Corvair Curve, located at milepost 246, is a tight, steep curve which has claimed dozens of wrecks over the years.
