Editor:
As a retired Phoenix Police sergeant and a property owner in Strawberry, I have no trouble endorsing Michelle Dyer for the position of constable for the northern area of Gila County.
I supervised Michelle while we were assigned to the Adult Sex Crimes Squad within the General Investigations Bureau of the police department.
This was a specialized unit and one that required a level of service above and beyond the norm.
Michelle is a talented investigator and was further willing to give the extra dedication necessary for assignment to this detail. She was on call constantly, as were all of the detectives, and never complained when called. She was further comfortable with the mental stresses involved in the day-to-day dealing with this type of criminal activity. This level of public service dedication, I feel, makes her well qualified for the constable position.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
