I don’t care who our next Arizona governor is, as long as he or she is intelligent, hard-working, articulate, as non-partisan as possible, puts the best interests of our state ahead of their own political ambitions, and can spell and actually put into action the word “compromise.”
My concern about our current appointed governor is that she appears to be running for election not against Buz Mills, Dean Martin, or even Terry Goddard, but against Barack Obama! Does she believe that bashing Obama on immigration issues will curry favor with Arizona voters? How can she continue to bash the Obama administration on the one hand and then ask them to assist (demand?) her with her border security plans on the other?
Perhaps diplomacy, insight, and tact are other attributes we should seek in our next governor.
