In an article in the Payson Roundup on July 2, Debbie Paulk had plenty to say about the Tea Party not doing anything about the taxes in Gila County and the state of Arizona.
Debbie, have you attended any of our meetings on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Famous Sam’s or stood side by side with us at some of our rallies on the Beeline or on Main Street? If you had, then we are sure you wouldn’t have to ask these questions.
Exactly what is it that you would want us to do for you, that we haven’t already discussed at our Tea Party meetings or rallied about in Payson? You know, we cannot do it all.
It would be very nice if you and your friends would join us at our meetings on Thursdays. We would appreciate your help and suggestions.
Regarding the feds having not taken a dime out on our taxes, you haven’t seen anything yet. The government has already taken away our cost of living raise for seniors, which we have received for years and means a lot to us. We are sure you will see many changes come January of 2011.
There are between 13,000 and 16,000 people who live in Payson. Our biggest meeting was 110 people. What are the rest of the people in town doing?
Everyone is welcome to our meetings at Famous Sam’s on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent or undecided. You are all welcome.

Question of the week
Do you think new Principal Anna Van Zile has a valid idea in eliminating the Asst. Principal and replacing it with an Athletic Director position that would share her duties as Principal?
